Applying EveryRamp's fixes on BoardDocs
The short answer: BoardDocs is a meeting-agenda publishing platform, not a general page editor. A clerk's office can fix how an agenda item is titled and described. Fixes to the shared public portal need BoardDocs support. This page describes BoardDocs's own public support process; it is not a review of the product. We could not confirm every administrator screen name directly, so this page says plainly where to check with your own site administrator.
Why this platform is different from a general website system
- Template-level (send to BoardDocs support): the public portal's page language, zoom and reflow behavior, color contrast, keyboard-focus visibility, skip-navigation, and any keyboard trap. These belong to the shared portal template, not something an agenda editor changes.
- Content-level (your clerk's office can likely do this): the title and description you give each agenda item when you create it, and which document you attach.
Fixes that need BoardDocs support
BoardDocs support can be reached at support@boarddocs.com or by phone at 866-262-7326. Send this wording:
Our public meeting portal (BoardDocs) was tested against WCAG 2.1 AA. The following findings are in the portal template, not something our clerk's office can change when creating an agenda item:
- Page language not set correctly (WCAG 3.1.1) — [page address]
- Pinch-zoom or text-resize disabled (WCAG 1.4.4, 1.4.10) — [page address]
- Text/background color contrast too low (WCAG 1.4.3) — [page address, element]
- No visible outline when tabbing with a keyboard (WCAG 2.4.7) — sitewide
- No way to skip repeated navigation to reach page content (WCAG 2.4.1) — sitewide

Fixes you can make when creating an agenda item
Give each agenda item a title and description that says what the document actually is — for example, "Superintendent's monthly financial report," not "Attachment 1." Headings inside an uploaded document live in the document itself, not the BoardDocs item; see the PDF section below. Confirm these exact steps with your own BoardDocs site administrator or with BoardDocs support if anything above doesn't match what you see.
Replacing a PDF without breaking its link
Where BoardDocs lets you attach or re-attach a document to an existing agenda item, upload EveryRamp's rebuilt PDF there rather than posting a brand-new item — this is the most likely way to keep the same public link. If you're not sure it will keep the same address, ask BoardDocs support (contact above) before publishing the replacement.
After you fix things
Once your fixes — and, if needed, BoardDocs's — are live, go back to your EveryRamp order page and press "Re-test my site." Your test report updates automatically, and EveryRamp re-tests every month for 12 months.
